Shimano sponsored riders end successful season
Shimano sponsored riders can look back at a very successful mountain bike season, culminating in a fantastic UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in Mont-Saint-Anne, Quebec, Canada.

At the World’s we could celebrate several new champions using SHIMANO products:

Maja Wloszcowska (Poland / CCC Polkowice MTB Team) is the new world champion in the Women Elite XC category. Maja is riding the new SHIMANO XTR M980 series, as well as PRO XCR series components and SHIMANO SH-M310 shoes.

Mathias Flückiger (Switzerland / TREK World Racing) is the new champion in the U23 XC category. Mathias is also the overall winner of the World Cup U23. He is also riding the new SHIMANO XTR group, as well as SHIMANO SH-M310 shoes.

Alexandra Engen (Sweden / Team Rothaus Cube) won the World Championships Women U23 XC. She is riding SHIMANO XTR M970 series and SHIMANO SH-M310 shoes.

Tracy Moseley (GBR / TREK World Racing) is the new world champion Downhill Women Elite. She is riding full SAINT components as well as SHIMANO SH-MP66 shoes.

Besides, these new world champions, SHIMANO sponsored riders also won several overall MTB World Cups this season:

Gee Atherton (Athertons-Commencal) is the overall winner of the Dowhill World Cup Men Elite. Gee is using the full SHIMANO SAINT group combined with PRO Athertons Star Series components and SHIMANO shoes.

Sabrina Jonnier (Rocky Mountain – Maxxis) won the overall title of the Downhill World Cup Women Elite. Sabrina is also using full SHIMANO SAINT components and SHIMANO SH-MP66 shoes.

Katherine Pendrel (LUNA Chix Pro Team) is the winner of the overall World Cup Women Elite XC. She is riding new SHIMANO XTR components as well as PRO XCR.

Jared Graves (Yeti Fox Shox) and Anita Molcik won the overall titles of the World Cup Four Cross. They are both using SHIMANO SAINT components and SHIMANO SH-MP66 shoes.
